UNITED POOLS CORVID-19 UPDATE
We have entered into a period where a worldwide issue is impacting our day-to-day lives on an unprecedented scale. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have been affected by COVID-19 both directly and indirectly.
At United Pools, the health and safety of our customers, communities, and employees is our primary concern. We will remain open to do our part in protecting public health by providing an essential service to our customers - maintaining clean and sanitary pool water. Proper pool maintenance is essential to ensure pool water does not become a breeding ground and succumb to algae and bacteria growth which can pose additional health challenges during this already difficult time.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) continues to report that there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans using pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.
The CDC has released guidance on COVID-19 and water transmission, including recreational bodies of water like pools or spas. We encourage you to read this information and share it with others who may have questions about the spread of Coronavirus through water.
United Pools is committed to supporting state and local mandates to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring that you have a properly maintained pool. There are a number of measures we are taking to ensure we manage to safely get through this fluid situation while continuing to serve our customers effectively. Please understand our technicians are practicing safe social distancing of 6 foot, as recommended by CDC, during interactions with customers. In addition, the interior of our service vehicle is sanitized on a daily basis.
The following links are recommendations and information provided by CDC on how to prepare, plan, and safeguard you and your family.
As your neighborhood pool care experts since 1974, United Pools is closely monitoring the developments of COVID-19 and the public health emergency updates. We are following all recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, and local officials. As this situation continues to evolve, we are prepared to adapt our approach to maintain a safe environment for all.
Amidst all of the uncertainty, one thing that is undeniable, United Pools is committed to support the safety and well-being of the communities in which we live, work, and serve. During these challenging times, we are confident that as a company and community, we can get through this together.
We thank you for being a loyal customer.
Please be safe and healthy.
